BC Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit- Two WVPD Constables

 

          

 

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit British Columbia(CFSEU-BC) is the province’s anti-gang agency. It is an integrated joint forces operation that develops and draws highly-specialized officers from federal, provincial and municipal agencies including West Vancouver Police.. CFSEU includes the uniformed Integrated Gang Task Force. This integrated approach enhances intelligence sharing, coordination and strategic deployment against threats of violence posed by organized crime groups and gangs in our province.

 

Integrated First Nations Unit - Two WVPD Constables

 

          

 

The Integrated First Nations Unit (IFNU) is an integrated policing unit established between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the West Vancouver Police Department to provide enhanced policing services that are culturally sensitive and responsive to the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

 

Integrated Road Safety Unit (IRSU)  - One WVPD Corporal

 

          

 

The Integrated Road Safety Units in B.C. are comprised of both RCMP and municipal police officers.

 

They are dedicated, mobile enforcement units that work closely with other road safety partners to tackle the most serious traffic issues in their particular areas through strategic enforcement, education and presence.  

 

Their priorities include aggressive driving, such as speeding, street racing and intersection violations, as well as seatbelt enforcement, impaired driving and commercial vehicle checks.

 

Integrated Collision Analysis And Reconstruction Service(ICARS)- One WVPD Constable

The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service is responsible for forensic investigation of all vehicle collisions that result in serious injury or death. Specially trained ICARS members are dedicated to improving public safety through the application of forensic science in collision reconstruction. 

 

Vancouver Police Homicide Unit - One WVPD Corporal/Detective

West Vancouver Police have integrated homicide investigation services with the Vancouver Police since 2008. Under a working agreement with VPD, West Vancouver Police assign a Detective/Corporal to work on a full time basis as an investigator with the Vancouver Police Homicide Unit. In exchange, all suspicious deaths in West Vancouver are jointly investigated by WVPD and VPD.

 

Integrated Forensic Investigation Service - One WVPD Corporal - Two WVPD Constables

 

Specially trained West Vancouver Police Forensic Identification Officers serve with the Integrated Forensice Identification Service.  This 54 officer joint agency of Municipal Police and the RCMP responds to crime scenes in eight policing jurisdictions providing detailed examination, investigation and analysis that can provide the scientific difference in holding criminals accountable in a court of law.
