A joint investigation by West Vancouver Police and the Vancouver Police Homicide Squad has culminated with the arrest of a suspect in the May 2009 death of a woman in Lighthouse Park.

West Vancouver Police were called to Lighthouse Park on May 19, 2009 shortly after 3:30 in the morning to a report of a deceased female. The body of 43 year old Tammy-Lynn CORDONE was found in a tent in the Juniper Point area of the park. The park was closed and contained and a homicide investigation was launched.

Detectives with WVPD and the VPD Homicide Squad have continued to actively investigate and analyze an abundance of forensic evidence collected at the scene.

The investigation has been led by a WVPD Detective posted with VPD Homicide under a shared services agreement.

Crown Counsel has now approved a charge of 2nd Degree Murder against 45 year old Alexander Lawrence LA GLACE of New Westminster. LA GLACE was arrested this morning in Vancouver. He is being held in custody pending a first court appearance at North Vancouver Provincial Court Wednesday morning.

West Vancouver Police Chief Cst. Peter Lepine praised investigators for their diligence and said resources and VPD investigative support brought to bear through the shared services agreement were invaluable in the investigation and arrest.
