| Stolen Auto Arrest |
A 47 year old Richmond man is facing several charges after being caught in a stolen vehicle in West Vancouver over the weekend.
An officer conducting patrols shortly before 5 am Saturday morning in the 4300 block of Stearman Avenue came across a car parked with the engine running and a man sitting inside.
Upon further investigation the car was confirmed as stolen and the male suspect was arrested without incident.
The officer subsequently determined the suspect was in possession of a quantity of tools commonly used in break-ins and auto crimes.
The suspect was held at West Vancouver Police headquarters over the weekend for a first appearance at North Vancouver Provincial Court today.
West Vancouver Police are recommending charges of Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Possession of Break In Instruments, and 3 charges of Breach of Probation.
